Who will the Cleveland Browns draft?

Myles Garrett, my pick for who
the Browns will draft number 1
The Cleveland Browns finished with an abysmal 2016 season with a record of just one win and 15 losses. That horrible record has won them the first overall pick though, so one good thing came out of a bad season.

Now, I am a Browns fan, and I do want them to succeed, but the Browns are just plain old bad and there's nothing to change that for now, so don't jump on me for saying my favorite team is bad. They are. There's nothing to change that right now.

But back to the draft. The Browns have the number one draft pick and the number 12 draft pick from the Philadelphia Eagles because of a trade made in last year's draft. This means that the Browns can select any player declared and eligible for the NFL draft.

To start, some expert's predictions: Daniel Jeremiah, Bucky Brooks and Lance Zierlein, all NFL.com experts, predict Myles Garrett, the Texas A&M outside linebacker to be selected by the Browns with the first pick. Chad Reuter, another NFL.com expert predicts the Browns to select Deshaun Watson, Clemson quarterback. The head coach of Clemson football, Dabo Swinney, said the Browns would be passing on the Michael Jordan of football if they didn't pick Watson with the number one pick.

Bleacher Report expert Matt Miller and Walter from walterfootball.net, a respected NFL mock draft website, both believe that the Browns will draft Garrett with the first pick.

The common consensus among many experts is that the Browns should and will take Garrett with the first overall pick, and that's my opinion also.

Garrett is by far the best player in the draft, and the Browns need a defense. The Browns let up the second most yards per game this season and were second to last in total defense according to ESPN. Those are some very bad stats, and I believe that Garrett could be part of the solution to the problem.

As a junior, Garrett led the SEC (South Eastern Conference) in sacks (12.5), tackles for a loss (19.5) and forced fumbles (5). Garrett is listed at 6-5 and 262 pounds, can bench press 485 pounds, has a 40-inch vertical jump and runs a 4.45 second 40-yard dash. So basically, he's tall, fast and strong. Combine that with his great football IQ and you have a player any team would want. With those stats, he'd be a perfect piece to fix the Browns defense for the future.

Now on to the number 12 pick because the Browns have that pick too, remember. There is an assortment of predictions for this pick, with a different pick from each expert.

Jeremiah has the Browns taking Florida State running back Dalvin Cook with the 12th pick. Brooks has Wisconsin offensive tackle Ryan Ramczyk going 12th to the Browns. Zierlein has another running back like Jeremiah, but this time from LSU, Leonard Fournette. And to round off the NFL crew, Reuter has the Browns picking Alabama linebacker Reuben Foster. Miller from Bleacher Report has Deshaun Watson falling all the way to number 12, where the Browns snatch him, and walterfootball.com has the Browns taking Marshon Lattimore, a cornerback from Ohio State.

Personally, I think the Browns should try to get Watson, as he is an outstanding quarterback, at number 12. But sadly, I don't think Watson will fall all the way to number 12 in the draft. I think if Watson is gone, the smart pick will be to draft an offensive lineman. And that offensive lineman is Alabama offensive tackle Cam Robinson.

The Browns have had trouble with their offensive line, except for Joe Thomas, a solid offensive lineman who's been with the Browns his whole career. Thomas plays left offensive tackle, guarding the quarterback's blind side. But I think the Browns need another offensive tackle to protect the other side, and Robinson is the answer. Robinson has had a fantastic season at Alabama, keeping Alabama's freshman quarterback safe the whole year. Robinson has had strong performances all year for Alabama, and in my opinion, would be a perfect fit on the Browns.

Of course, the Browns have many more picks, as they have one of the highest number of picks in this year's draft out of all teams. But for today, the only picks I'm predicting are the number one and number 12 pick.

To recap: The Browns will take star Texas A&M outside linebacker Myles Garrett with the first pick and Alabama offensive tackle Cam Robinson with the 12th pick.

The Cleveland Gladiators, the Team Nobody Knows About

Well, it turns out that Cleveland is just bad at football in general. In the NFL, they have the Browns, a dismal team that had just one win last year. But Cleveland also has a football team in the league everyone forgets about, the Arena Football League.  Now, if you don't know about the Arena Football League, here's a rundown. The AFL was created in 1987 and is a spin-off of the NFL, but with a couple different rules. First, it's played indoor with short walls along the side of the fields. Players are allowed to crash into these walls without the play being stopped. Second, it's much more high scoring. The reason for this is because the field is only 50 yards long. Before the snap, one receiver is allowed to start running. In addition, there are only 16 players on the field at a time, eight on offense and eight on defense. Many players play on both offense and defense. Now that you know the basics of Arena Football, I'll talk about the Cleveland Gladiators.

The Cleveland Browns 2017 NFL Draft.

Last night at 8:00 PM in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the Cleveland Browns were on the clock with the number one pick for the first time since 2000. Although the Browns have historically been bad, they haven't been bad enough to snag the number one pick in the draft for a while. Then this year, they went 1-15 and got the number one pick. In addition to the number one pick, they had the number 12 pick from the Philadelphia Eagles, which I'll get into later. Now if you've seen the movie "Draft Day" you'll know that the movie is totally unrealistic. In the movie, the Browns actually did well on the first day of the seven-round NFL Draft. This year however, I think the Browns actually did well on draft day, and here's why: From cleveland.com - Myles Garrett putting on his new team's football cap.  The consensus number one draft pick going into the draft was Texas A&M defensive end Myles Garrett. And the Browns went right ahead and selected Myles

Worried about the Indians?

The Cleveland Indians made the World Series last year before losing to the Chicago Cubs in a great seven games series. This year, they're not off to the best of starts, so should we be worried about them? Yes and no. So far this season, the Indians are only 28-24 and are second in the American League Central division, behind the Minnesota Twins. The Indians are also not playing very well. They've been on and off all year and the pitching isn't very well. Carlos Carrasco has been pitching very well and has only a 2.89 ERA and has 65 strikeouts through 65 innings. Other than Carrasco, nobody's been pitching very well. Corey Kluber was out for about two weeks with injury and came back on Thursday, June 1 and pitched very well. He went six innings, allowed only two hits, walked only one batter, and had ten strikeouts. Besides that, Kluber hasn't pitched well at all. This is a former Cy Young winner who has a 4.36 ERA. Danny Salazar, another pitcher who's sup
